121Well, following on from my earlier video of this game, here it is playing with the dome screen corrected. I actually do a bit better in this run too and manage to complete all 5 missions (I failed the Hoth one in the previous upload). I cocked up the bit where you have to throttle forward on the Speeder Bikes on the Endor stage again though...
Star Wars Battle Pod was a 2014 rail shooter arcade game created by Namco. The arcade version was designed to run on a large domed screen, which is why it looks a little bit odd here (although a flat screen version of the game came out too). I did manage to play the proper domed arcade version once and it was quite an experience, although a pretty expensive and short one though (not a problem anymore!). I just found out after uploading this that there's a way to get the picture out of dome mode.
I was having a bit of difficulty obtaining the video capture here. OBS didn't want to work capturing the game screen. I tried FRAPS, which initially looked like it'd worked, but the footage was all zoomed in and only showing a small part of the screen. In the end I had to use OBS in display capture mode, but the problem with this is that it tends to add a huge amount of slow down to the game's framerate and make everything look a bit chuggy. This is particularly noticeable on the Endor Speeder Bike chase stage. This is entirely due to the video capture and the game runs full speed without it.
