I've always really enjoyed these Death Star Fighter Squadron maps so it's great to be able to play one of them again here. Imperial Blockade is the only one of the DLC Fighter Squadron maps that works for me In the Skirmish mode mod. In the comments on the site I downloaded the mode from, someone else mentioned that they'd be able to access the Death Star surface map, but everytime I tried, it crashed the game. Likewise with Bespin.

I'm playing as a Rebel, but I'm piloting a TIE fighter (again, like Cloud City, I think this is a specific part of the Mod changing the fighter to an Imperial and you can revert back to the Rebel ones by uninstalling one of the two parts of the mod).

In this previously DLC only map that's been added into skirmish, you can only target and shoot down TIE interceptors not the regular TIE fighters. Weirdly you can also lock onto and destroy X Wings as well, but any you shoot down will get added to the Imperial's fighter tally and count against you. The AI ships don't shoot at you, although they can collide with you, which killed me more than once and the AI ship flew away, apparently, totally unscathed. Although none of the AI ships appear to be attacking each other, the enemy Imperial fighter tally steadily goes up. By comparison the Rebel gauge is being filled, more-or-less, entirely by me, which means the odds of winning are pretty stacked against you (the AI Rebels make a tiny token effort). So, the gameplay is a tad broken, but it's still great to get to experience this map again, just a shame I can't get to experience Bespin or the Death Star Surface again too.Another great thing about the mod is being able to access Darth Vader's TIE X1 Advanced again, as the additional hero ships never got ported into Skirmish (again, why EA never did this is beyond me).
