Star Wars KotOR 2: TSL walkthrough - Part 72 - Scout in unenviable position
Getting outside from one fo Mandalorian caches I head for opposite side of Dxun jungle where I manage to find those phase-pulse converters for Zuka's fixing job (after killing all cannocks I encounter on my way).
Later on, I run into one bigger boma beast who stood in the clearing. Kreia has found this moment as a chance to teach me another lesson - to control beasts mind. I tried but it seemed I wasn't strong enough in the Force, so I failed first time. But as we know, repetition is a step to wisdom and maybe later tries would bring success.
And I didn't need to wait to much for one more chance, and this time I manage to perform it. Following path to higher ground I finally found that lost Mandalorian scout Kumus. He was actually trapped in his own 'mesh', lost without energy bolts in his blaster rifle (which is honestly unbealivable in this game) and surrounded by sanguinary beasts he couldn't (or he just didn't have enough courage) move anywhere from that uplift for many days.
Since I'm on lightside path I decided to help him, by slaying down boma beasts who were blocking his way and after that he thanked me and ran away back to camp. In the same area I've encounter another switch for explosives and activate it after Kumus left (if I activated while he was up there I would kill him and get darkside points for that), but I couldn't see any reachable entrance for that certain cache.
Nevertheless, I solved a quest which Mandalore gave me when I first time met him and soon I'm heading back to inform him about that. But before that I decided to return awhile little back where was the first cache I've found. Reach it I've set up thorium charges and blow the entrance to a smaller size room with few containers inside. Mandalore exclusively told me that I better not open it, but I don't really care for his warnings at that point (there wasn't really something of great importance in it, anyway).
Returning back to Mandalorians camp I noticed Kumus was joined together with his instructor Xarga, who didn't really show satisfaction to see his pupil get back from failed mission (ah, that is the hard life of Mandalorian recruit).
Later on I update information to Mandalore about jobs where I prove myself and he expressed contentment with my doings in the jungle and around camp, telling me I could obtain his trust pretty soon. I immediately head to place where Battle circle is, trying to gain more prestige if I beat few challengers.
Mandalorian seargant, who leads competition gladly accept my entry (probably thinking other combatants would be able to kick my ass) and set me up first fight against novice called Davrel.
