StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Balance Patch Notes! (April 15, 2015)
The first set of patch notes for the StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void beta is out. While there aren't too many changes to the game, it does feel like it's headed in the right direction.
First off the Protoss Adept got a massive buff. It has more health and should technically be surviving easier in the early part of the game. However, I wonder if it is enough. Protoss does feel like it's very weak right now, especially early on. Besides the Adept, there are also a few buffs to the Immortal Barrier ability as well as the Tempest Disintegration.
Terran got a slight nerf to the Cyclone. To me it feels it doesn't really address the issue with this unit. The main problem is when the Terran player gets a lot of them, and manages to max out on a Mech army composition. The lock-on range change is understandable, but doesn't really change much except for some early game micro.
The Zerg Lurker got a massive change. In the past, you had to tech up to a Hive in order to get the upgrade out. However, after the patch the Lurker will start off with the extra range. This is huge, and will allow Zerg to play much more aggressive with Lurkers and potentially even do some 3 base timing attacks versus all races.
