StarCraft 2: One Base RAVAGER Push! (Gameplay)
478Ravagers are the early game counter to Hellions, Hellbats, Marines and Liberators. Interestingly enough those are exactly the units that all Terran players are opening up with. There are no Terrans on the ladder at the higher levels that are opening up with Marine Marauder and stimpack timings. On top of that, most Terrans skip the early Bunker.

In this video I decide to test out a build that has to do damage or otherwise you're behind. I go for a quick second Vespene Gas, skip out on Droning the Natural expansion as greedy as I usually do, and leave out the Zergling speed. Instead, I get six Ravagers early on to pressure the Terran player that lost his scouting Reaper.
While this is not my usual play style, it is definitely great to have a couple of early game aggressive build orders at your disposal. I won't be doing this every game, but it's great to realist how powerful a unit is throughout the course of the game. Ravagers tend to fall off in the mid game and are almost useless in the late game, but the earlier you get them the stronger they seem to be.
