Starfield - How to Get Shielded Cargo Hold Early - How to Buy, Install, & Use - Quick Guide
Wazzup Everyone, Welcome back to another starfield guide.
In Starfield, if you're looking to smuggle contraband or safeguard your valuable cargo, securing a shielded cargo hold is crucial. The good news is that you can acquire one early in the game without emptying your pockets.
Begin your journey by heading to the Prima system. Once you're there, set your sights on Purima 3, a planet where your adventure unfolds. Your destination within Purima 3 is the Red Mile, a bustling gambling settlement.
Inside the Red Mile, you'll want to locate a character named Lon Anderson. Engage him in conversation, and inquire about the ship parts he has available for sale.
Now, enter shipbuilder mode in the game. Within this mode, find the "add" button. Clicking on it reveals all available ship parts, neatly organized by category.
Among these parts, look for a shielded cargo hold that suits your needs. Once you've found the right one, make the purchase and place it alongside your ship. Remove your current cargo hold and replace it with the newly acquired shielded version. Rest assured that all your stored items will seamlessly transfer to the new cargo hold.
When you've completed the process, exit shipbuilder mode, and you're all set! You've successfully equipped your ship with a shielded cargo hold early in the game, ensuring the safety of your cargo during your interstellar adventures.
