Subject: This is a full playthrough of Starfox on the SNES. I'll be going through all three routes and showing off the hidden stuff at the end. No ending credits until the whole playthrough is complete!


We now take on Route 2 which is the more trickier route of the three. I was right not to judge the games difficulty as a whole by just playing Route 1 because the other two routes are a lot more difficult. So Route 2 is a pretty mixed bag actually. While some of the stages are reasonable there are some that tend to get pretty difficult and same goes for the boss battles. While stages like Corneria and Venom (Even the final level.) are generally easy, Sector X, Titania & Sector Y tend to be on the difficult side. I will say that Sector X is easily the most difficult stage out of the stages in this route and it's only the second stage! Tons of obstacles in this level and it's not easy to avoid all of them. Ironically I started doing a little better about halfway through the level which is the harder portion of the level. Titania I mainly find the first half of the level to be difficult with those crystals rotating around and often getting in the way. Overall I didn't perform to well on that level...though still managed to get 100% score on it somehow. Sector Y...I honestly find this level pretty easy. It can easily be a difficult level if you aren't sure how to play it but once you already know to shoot the red stingrays and avoid the huge ones..it get's pretty simple.

As for the bosses there's actually a few I hate on this course. Rock Crusher is also in this course and is a little more of a pain this time but overall not to bad. (I really don't like those homing torpedoes.) Though the battle with Professor Hanger is one of my favorite battles in the game, he's actually really easy as he dies really fast. Plasma Hydra could've been difficult if it wasn't for that whale showing up and hooking you up with weapons. (Think it only shows up if you're doing well in the level.) The main problem with Plasma Hydra is that he's kind of difficult to damage at first as he doesn't leave his hands open for very long. Without all the weapon upgrades...this fight probably would've been the most difficult out of the bosses in this route. Metal Smasher I seem to have the most trouble with on this route. You need to use the brakes when it tries to crush you. The only problem with that is I'm never sure when exactly you're supposed to use them. Sometimes I'd brake too early and still end up getting hit by the crush attack anyways. Other people I've seen fight this boss just make it look so much easier but I can't seem to get the hang of this guy. At least you don't have to get it's life down all the way if you destroy one of it's parts. Last but not least is Galactic Rider which isn't that bad as it also dies pretty fast but it can be a little tricky to avoid when it comes closer to the screen. (I tend to have trouble avoiding bosses that like to collide with you.)

Didn't do to bad on this course overall. I could've done a bit better or worse, either way I'm satisfied as I didn't practice before hand. Route 2 is my favorite route out of the three as it contains two of my favorite levels, Titania and the last Venom level.
In the next video we will be taking on the most difficult Route of them all...and I'm not looking forward to it so much.
