Working through more missions, dealing with the Wilkerson's and getting almost killed for a watch.

I had some major computer issues and had to reinstall Windows. This unfortunately means I lost all my Davici Resolve and OBS settings. I've tried to re-do them, but there might still be something that needs adjusting as this is the first episode recorded with them. Let me know if you spot anything too bad, but I'll be changing a few more before Cyberpunks next ep.
I continue with some of the side missions, trying to keep ahead of the issues.
With that I head back north to Mt. Tanner to grab some materials, but also Lilly's watch....which almost ends up costing Maya everything. In the end I manage to save both her and the watch, but it was a nail biter there as I was definitely unprepared for what was waiting for me.
I manage to keep ahead of the side missions for once, though as usual Maya gets tired just as another soldier mission pops. Next episode I'll use some coffee to have her go help the Sergeant and the civies he's trying to save.
I also call in one of the allies I get via DLC and she turns out to be a double expert in meds and research, which will help out a lot going forward.
Next episode I'll cafinate up Maya to help the sarge and then continue the main missions. Additionally, now that I have the people and looted Spencer's Mill, I'll likely shift bases down towards Marshal. I'll do this once I finish researching the garden upgrade and what not, In this case I'll likely grab the warehouse on the west end, which is one of the largest bases, but also once I can stick to for the rest of the game.

As mentioned in some posts, this run is with the intent of getting a fully walkthrough of the State Of Decay story. This Season will be the main game of SOD-1, with Lifeline following, before we jump back to SOD-2.
Back in the day, I'd been following this games development from early on. Around its release I played it constantly and while its been a long time, this is most definitely not a first time run. I will however not have remembered every little detail, meta and what not.
SOD-1is an older game, so it has some hitches and it can be brutal to even story characters. As this is meant to cover the lore, I will be doing my best to keep every main character alive I can. This means I WILL use manual backup saves as needed, copied from the game's save folder. I'll do my best to minimize their use, but I won't accept losing a story character due to game wonkiness/BS. I expect this to come mostly into play during Lifeline, as its a chaotic mess with squishy NPC civies.
[MODS]
I am not using anything that alters gameplay, as of now. Instead I am using a modified Config file to adjust some of the graphical settings not available in the game menus. Basically boosting view distance, LOD, shadows, etc. It also has the added effect of fixing some of the lighting issues when using ultra presets. The settings/instructions can be found here:
