The Eclipse Foundation was one of the original open source foundations, and like most began with a singular mission: to support the evolution of the Eclipse IDE and its rich client platform. But our community's unique model of fostering both our open source projects and a sustainable commercial ecosystem based on them has proven to be attractive to many developers and organizations worldwide. So we have grown from a relatively small and focused community to one of the largest in the world, with over 1600 committers, 375 projects, and 300 members. This year we made the decision to move our home to Europe which we believe is key to furthering our mission of growing global collaboration and innovation. This talk is going to provide an overview of some of the people, projects, and member organizations that make the Eclipse community a special place to work on open technologies.

Mike Milinkovich (Eclipse Foundation)
