Valve launched a public beta for Steam's Big Picture mode on September 10. Big Picture mode is a redesigned user interface for Steam that's designed for televisions and large monitors. It can be navigated through using a gamepad such as the Xbox 360 controller. You can access it by clicking on the "big picture" icon in the upper right hand corner of Steam.
