Valve has opened up steam, steam is, much like YouTube, an Open Platform now. If you have a game, all you need to do is submit some basic paperwork and it doesn't matter who you are, as long as your game doesn't violate any guidelines, you'll be on steam.
An Open Platform comes with it's own pitfalls though, and it means that the entire foundation of he crusade against Steam Greenlight asset flips, that's done, it's gone. This new system is the DIRECT RESULT of that crusade. You made your bed, now you have to lie in it.
