Steam is notorious for selling practically any old guff. Its laissez-faire and casual approval process has seen unfinished, broken, and hateful games make their way to shelves. Until now.

For some STRAAAANGE reason, Valve suddenly cares about what makes its way to Steam... at least when it comes to games associated with the Hong Kong protests.

Liberate Hong Kong has been awaiting approval for well over a month, and Karma: A Visual Novel About A Dystopia was investigated for "controversial potentially illegal content."

Valve's sudden interest in quality control has raised suspicion that the company is, like Blizzard and dozens of other American corporations, afraid to upset China. It's hard not to have that suspicion, all things considered.
