but still why do people design annoying garbage levels like this. When I design a level even if poorly made I think about would it be fun for the player? Is the challenge fun or fair? I play test the heck out of it.
No, just vomit out Mario Maker pollution.
Just because you can make a difficult level with annoying gimmicks and factors doesn't mean you should. Many Mario Maker levels I don't want to beat or even try at because it's literally a waste of your life.
BUT a difficult level well designed and well crafted is very satisfying to beat. I actually beat some BARB levels. They took me a couple days but I was determined because they were worth beating and did not feel like a waste of my life. He earned my respect to spend time and try to beat his levels.
