The basics includes understanding how the quake physics work and how strafe jumping is done. This 'lesson' shows the left and right movement and such without the jumping part. It can be done on solid slick (basically strafe jumping without the hassle of pressing space You'd probably be like wtf at this clip because of the music and how fast the slides change. You might want to use the pause button a lot. Well, enjoy watching my boring lecture on my theory.

The reason why i created this clip is because it is hard to understand through just visual and 'aural' (text) tutorials without actually knowing what's going on. It took me about 2 years since i first heard about it to figure how its done. Before, like most people simply just spam a and d buttons while going forward and jumping, while jerking the mouse without any sort of smooth turning in between. Yes, they accelerate, but not much and are likely to decelerate as well.

Another thing about the reason why i created this vid, is because i actually don't know exactly how some other people do theirs. This is just the method i use.

edit: forgot to add the 'looking' angle as the green angle is actually 45 degrees added to the looking angle since players use the A and D strafe keys.

That 'random' Music you hear is from Angel Beats! called Angel Flight if you're wondering.
