[Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin] Chaos Advent (Jack Solo/CHAOS Mode/No Damage)

I've recently finished my first playthrough of Stranger of Paradise and it's such a good game I had to record something!
The gameplay is fantastic, especially if you're looking for fast-paced, action-based combat, mudic is great and I was pleasantly surprised by its story too, despite all the memes the game generated when it was announced. Highly recommended!
So, a new difficulty called CHAOS Mode is unlocked once you complete the main story. This new mode adds more replayability as it increases the mission levels to 130 (for reference, the last main story mission is Lv ~120), and up to 300. Such a challenge rewards you with better equipment to further optimize your builds, including Artifacts -rare pieces of equipment with two Job affinities instead of only one-, and ways to limit break your Jobs. This is my first time doing a CHAOS mission so the only extra resources I have are some Artifacts I found while exploring this dungeon. Lucky me!
Despite the level boost, Chaos Advent is still the first boss of the game and thus he's not especially threatening. He attacks slowly and his moves are sufficiently telegraphed so you have enough time to react, although be mindful of his Fiery Hold depending on the distance since it's an unblockable attack.
Things get more hectic during Phase 2 however, as Chaos Advent becomes more aggressive, focusing on CQC and chaining his attacks instead of only doing one at a time. While he doesn't have a sword anymore, Chaos Advent will create one out of ice to recover his moveset from Phase 1 and mix up his pattern.
As for the Jobs I've used for this fight, I went with Void Knight and Sage:
- Void Knight is one of my favorite Jobs, with well-rounded stats and access to Swords (I really like their moveset, especially since the rapier-like swords grant the Rapid Needle and Piercing Lunge skills). Its Runic Ability is also a great way to counter incoming attacks for big damage.
- Sage is mostly here for support due to Haste, which is an incredible spell that increases the speed of all your actions, and the extra MP recovery Maces provide.
You can swap Jobs mid-animation to cancel a skill and as you can see it's a great way to keep the pressure on with an extra hit or two or to quickly go on the defensive and parry an incoming attack.
I didn't mess around too much with Command Abilities during my first playthrough but I feel it would have made things much easier if I experimented more. This setup uses: Divine Sigil (doubles the duration of the next buff), Counter (reduces the Break cost of a successful Soul Shield and increases MP restored. Lasts 40 secs) and Mighty Strikes (makes it easier to pierce enemy resistances. Lasts 30 secs).
While I'd like to record the remaining bosses following this format, I think this will be all I'll upload of Stranger of Paradise for now. I've been meaning to upgrade my PC for a while and this game will certainly appreciate the boost, both graphics and performance-wise. I can play without major issues although, in exchange, I have to compromise with lower settings and dynamic resolution to keep a stable framerate, so it's not an ideal situation either.
Even though I can't give a date for the next video right now, know that Jack will return someday!
