With the announcement and release of the Legend of Zelda tears of the Kingdom right around the corner, I came to a weird and scary realization. I technically never finished Breath of the Wild. The way I ended up playing the game was a little unorthodox. So I wanted to play it again, but this time on the Wii U and this time also limiting myself with just amiibo so I set myself with some rules to play the game. Thank you all for stopping by
Breath of the Wild amiibo Play-through Rules:
- amiibo only (except for areas that amiibo cannot be used, beginning of the game maybe eventide island)
- every death equals minuses one amiibo I can no longer use
- Monster parts are allowed for crafting/ upgrading armor (amiibo don't drop monster parts except Bokoblin & Guardian.
- Cannot grab food
- Firewood, Flint & Ore are allowed since amiibo don't drop them (Except Zelda for ore)
- Heath can only be replenished with cooked meals
- ALL SWITCH EXCLUSIVE amiibo do not count as they might not be able to even scan. This includes:
* Fire Emblem series amiibo (4)
* Metroid series amiibo (4)
* Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo (30)
* Splatoon series amiibo (12)
* Monster Hunter series amiibo (8)
* Detective Pikachu & Pikmin amiibo
* Sealed/ Boxed amiibo
* Any customs that only work for Smash Bros. Ultimate
