Street Fighter 2010 (NES) Sub 20:10 Fastest Speed Run Ever?! (DTysonator)
11DTysonator gets lucky on Saint Patrick's Day on his first try, beating Street Fighter 2010 The Final Fight for the NES in less than 20:10 minutes!
I apparently started the timer too early, according to the official speed run settings anyway, hence my TOADALLY FAILED celebration here :). I'm such a speed run newb hahaha!
The timer is officially supposed to start when Ken's feet touch the ground in Planet 1, however I started the timer when pressing the Start button to start the game, since I was completely unaware of all of this speed running business :).
There is a 13.5 second gap before the Ken touchdown after pressing Start. Therefore, had the timer started properly, the final time would not have been 20:08.69, as shown here, but rather 19:55! Go figure, I sub 20'd Street Fighter 2010 without even knowing it hahaha!
Played LIVE at A & C World in Toronto, ON Canada on March 17, 2015 (Saint Patrick's Day) by Daniel "DTysonator" Teixeira. An original NES console was used, along with a regular controller and absolutely no cheating.
Special thanks goes out to AngieBug and FODA for their respective speed and TAS runs. I was inspired by their performances and came up with some alternate strategies after watching them.
