2Where all started for 3D....well, for Street Fighter....technically!
Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha is the update from SFEX+ which saw addition of Dhalsim and Sakura to make the character roster to 23. Released on the PlayStation in July 1997 (Japanese release, going by here!), Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha had various modes to choose and play such as Arcade, Versus, Practice, Team Battle, Survival Mode, Time Attack and Watch Mode. Interestingly enough, there is a hidden bonus stage where you can break the barrels much like the mode in SF2.
Another interesting fact is that there was dedicated epilogues for each character in the Japanese version along with the FMV endings but on the Western releases, it was scrapped for some reason! Honestly, that baffled me back then and still does now! However, the epilogues were translated and from what I saw, would've made sense.....in hindsight!
The game still plays good now and actually made players more accustomed to the moves...especially, the charge and 360 motions! Hint, hint!
Honest note: Originally, this was supposed to be recorded through the PS3 but due to 'a update', I couldn't record it through 1080p. However, 'a workaround' was done as this was recorded through the POPStarter method on a softmodded PS2. Man, that was a long one....pulling that tactic off!
