Street Fighter II became a worldwide video game phenomenon, but it's difficult to believe it's related to this pile of rubbish. Many of the features present in SF2 are apparent here, including a diverse cast of characters, not to mention the introduction of special moves, including the iconic "hadoken" and "shoryuken", but everything feels shoddily implemented; controls are too floaty, and the specials are way too difficult to pull off.

I guess this might have been impressive if you'd never played the sequel, but there's little to recommend it, other than curiosity to see the full series' heritage.
