Strider 2: Part 4: Mission 04
Just like in the first game, this game has Hiryu take to the skies in order to hunt down the Flying Battleship Balrog and take out its power reactor to destroy it.
----------
Scene 1 has Hiryu start in the skies above Equator Malay Island. You will use the smaller ships to make your way toward the Balrog. Both you can your enemies can destroy these ships.
This scene finishes after you beat the Squad Leader that was bombarding your ships from the background and take HIS ship towards the Balrog.
----------
Scene 2 has Hiryu outside the tail of the Flying Battleship Balrog and he now makes for a careful climb up through the ship as it ascends further into the skies.
There's a fork in the road at 2:30. Take the upper route, and then be prepared to dodge an incoming jet fighter. Do that, and you can then pick up a Boost stock.
This scene is finished after defeating the Minelayer.
----------
Scene 3 has Hiryu inside of the Balrog. He is now inside of its engine room and must face its gravity transformer, Scarabee. Take watch of what direction it goes; usually the one to chase after you.
Scene 4 has Hiryu in the development dock area. This place is crawling with enemies, including scientists that can't help but run away in fear of the Strider's wrath!
The boss of Scene 4 is a massive machine inside this ship called Goliath. You have to destroy the red targets that shoot lasers in order to continue.
----------
Scene 5 has Hiryu in the central engine room, read to take down Balrog's Reactor Core.
And said reactor core seems to be... some kind of trapped mermaid-like being... and she begs Hiryu to put her out of her misery.
Tragically, completing this Scene and winning against this boss means fulfilling her wish...
----------
Scene 6 has the Flying Battleship Balrog in major trouble. Without its Reactor Core, Hiryu must not head towards a satellite escape ship before the ship blows up.
Once you reach this ship, the last boss of these Mission, Admiral Wilhelm, will be waiting for you. He attacks with an electrified rapier and can cling to walls just like Hiryu. He can take A LOT of punishment from his blade.
----------
Eventually, Wilhelm is defeated, but then he had to ask a dire question to Hiryu:
Why doesn't the Strider fear what the Grandmaster will do to him? It seems that all of Hiryu's adversaries up to this point wanted to take down Grandmaster Meio, themselves, but for the sake of their lives, they were forced to serve under him, instead. He had control of the entire world at the palms of his hands. It was seemingly impossible for them to believe that he could ever be stopped.
After completing Missions 01 to 04, Grandmaster Meio then invites Hiryu to face off against him if he dared in his final base: Third Moon!
