Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Part 38: Regrouping at Colony Lambda
6At this point, Ouroboros have unlocked all of their Interlink forms, defeated the fake Isurd and his Colony Lambda, and survived against Consul J, who turned out to be their Kevesi halves' old friend Joran, who was somehow revived by Moebius.
For now, it was time for them to regroup at Lambda and figure things out from there with the Colony.

By this point, you'll unlock everyone's first Soul Link, which allows one half of a given Interlink to share a skill they have to their other half. Eventually, you'll unlock the second slot for this.
You also get to swap between Interlink forms during a battle, such as switching between Noah and Mio's forms. Just be wary that this speeds up their Heat Gauge.
You also now get to select whether CPU-controlled Ouroboros use Interlink by themselves or if you want to manually control that, yourself.

Joran had made mud copies of Colony Lambda's soldiers, but the real ones were still stationed inside the Colony. Although they've all fallen to the ground, they were still alive and breathing.
You control Taion on his own for a moment to look for his original Commander Isurd, the real one.
Taion quickly finds his Commander unconscious. He brought him over to a bed for a smoother rest until he woke up. He explained everything that just happened to him and his allies, but Isurd couldn't remember much since he passed out.
Taion couldn't bare to tell Isurd the harsh truth of what words Consul J's mud copy of him said to him in the previous battle, though he did mention in his talk that "someone" called him a coward. Eunie quickly took notice of this...
Isurd then gazed at Nimue's clock, which was now all he had left to remember her by. She was one to be very passionate about seeing Taion grow into an elite soldier of their Colony. Nimue saw so much value in Taion that she thought he could even become Lambda's next Commander.
With that in mind, Isurd let Taion keep Nimue's memento, and offered a place he can "visit" her at: A land of Saffronia flowers. Taion can bury the memento there, and prove to her his "victory through kindness".

Taion then regrouped with the rest of Ouroboros to tell Isurd that he is now okay and he'll get Colony Lambda back up and running.
With that said, Noah & Mio decided that they needed to do one more thing outside of the Colony...

Ouroboros gathered at the huge pile of mud. The same mud that Joran used to make his memory puppets of Lambda's soldiers...
...and they both took out their flutes to send them off.
Lanz was quite bewildered at this demonstration of the two Off-Seers. Why did they send off mud soldiers?
Riku had to teach Lanz that Noah & Mio wanted to "atone" for fighting them. They were merely vessels, yes, but the two still felt guilt of having to raise their Blades against them on the battlefield...
At the scattering motes shown, that mud may have truly been more than just vessels. Taion had also discussed with Eunie about the matter of this "atonement", as well as the nature of living and dying in the name of their Queen.

Later that day, most of the girls were preparing the team's dinner. Lanz had to wonder why they couldn't just eat what Colony Lambda had.
The team's previous fight against the fake Isurd, and especially Sena's Interlink contribution, wrecked the entire place.
Lanz was still stressed out that he saw Joran again, or who he believed was a copy of him, but Noah wanted him to calm down. He wanted him to focus on how and why Joran was able to come back alive.
Noah wanted answers beyond that, as well. Why were they chosen to gain the power of Ouroboros? How does their world work? How were motes still able to appear from those mud bodies?
He recalled a memory off when he worked alongside another Off-Seer to send off fallen soldiers, both their own and their enemies. It was thought as a way to celebrate everyone's life and death, no matter where they came from.
Eunie also wanted to calm Lanz, as she agreed with Noah that they need to move on from the past and live and to seek out answers to their lives.
Several Consuls watched a battle transpire: A Kevesi killed an Agnian commander, another Agnian killed him in return, then and she, too, fell to another Kevesi.
The Consul's leader, Z, discussed with Consul N about the repeated cycle of life and death, and how N, himself, was a particular case of this instance..

Chapter 3 concludes with Mio once again writing in her diary. She was processing more about how everyone had their own experiences and tragic memories.
She hopes that one day, everyone can open their hearts to each other, and when that time comes, their bonds shall grow ever stronger...
