Strike Commander (1993) on Turtle Beach Tropez High End ISA Sound Card, better than Roland?
Strike Commander is a great Game from legend Game Designer Chris Roberts. It was far ahead of it's time when it came out in 1993 and needed a very fast PC like a 486 DX2/66 to run properly. It also supported the best Sound and Video cards of that time and the Turtle Beach Tropez is widely considered the best ISA Sound Card available for General Midi and Sound Blaster Pro support on a single Card. Normally you need two cards (like a Roland RAP 10 and a SoundBlaster pro) to get the same result. Lucky me found one of these cards recently in a PC someone else wanted to throw away to trash! Now I put this little treasure into the home it deserves and test some games with it.
The PC is a Highscreen 486 DX2/66 with 8MB RAM and a Spea Mirage Vesa Local Bus Video Card.
The Monitor is among the very best of curved CRTs. A Sony Multiscan 520GS..
