Striving for Light - Indie Action RPG with an Infinite Skill Tree! | First Impressions
4Striving for Light is an ambitious action RPG with some pretty cool concepts! It's got slightly clunky combat, but what it lacks in polish, it makes up for in heart. It's very clear that the developers are heavily inspired by Path of Exile and Diablo, as they state in their little brief - the desire to combine the buildcrafting of PoE & Diablo with the action of Hades is what drove their development! You can certainly see those influences, but there is something more in there as well!
Despite the clunky graphics and animations, the combat plays relatively smoothly, the gameplay is pretty addictive, and the abilities are fun to explore! The infinite & editable skill tree makes for a unique addition, and Striving for Light is certainly worth checking out!
