This is Subsistence brought to us by ColdGames. In this episode I would first like to apologize for the audio anomaly! Sincerely I usually do multiple sound tests and for some reason this eluded me. I do my best to ensure this type of thing doesn't happen. However, the episode was really good and this game autosaves so the progress was lost or I deal with it. I scrubbed it down as best I could but if you simply cannot deal with it (I don't blame you) know that it gets fixed at 14:45. That being said, wow so much happens in this episode it's really awesome. Where to begin.. Oh yeah, ... Well, you'll see!

In Subsistence you are a hunter who must survive the wilderness with very little to start with. You will procure shelter, food, water, clothing, weapons, and everything else you will need to survive. The wild life is dangerous, wolves and bears are roaming around and are a good source of resources and death. However, by and large the most dangerous threat out in the wilds are the other hunters. AI hunters, who also build bases will eventually show up and threaten to take what's yours. Resources, land, they even have a revenge system in place to come after you once combat happens for the first time.

This game also features advanced survival mechanics such as temperature and exposure that changes with time of day and altitude. Various cooking mechanics as well as animal husbandry and farming will help ensure that your survival is sustainable. One incredible thing to note is that this game is currently being developed by a single person! That's right they come home from work and then pour themselves into this labor of love they have created and it shows, as this game is truly amazing to play.
