The fighting game genre's peak may not have lasted as long as some would've liked by the end of the 90s, but that doesn't mean we were hurting for choice.
Each console and major developer seemed to have at least one good title that was getting our attention. And even though the Neo Geo was on its way into history, SNK was still more than happy to give it titles that hold up 25 years later.
'Garou - Mark of the Wolves' may be the eighth game in the 'Fatal Fury' series, but don't let it fool you. It's a game that can easily stand on its own as one of the genre's hidden gems.
While not many played it at the time, it's gone on to have multiple lives on every major console released since, thanks to having everything you want in a good fighting game.
