4With the battle won, the army inside North Window rejoices, hailing Riou as the new hero of liberation. Shu suggests electing Riou as the official leader, and with that decision made, we rename North Window to Dunan Castle—our new stronghold!
Now, it's time to gather more allies. As we travel across the region to recruit new members, a request for aid arrives from across the river. Two River City is under threat from the Highland Army, and its mayor pleads for our help. We agree to assist, but there's one problem—we need a way to cross the water.

Suikoden II (1998) is a JRPG by Konami for the PlayStation and a direct sequel to Suikoden (1995). Set in the war-torn Dunan region, it follows the protagonist and his best friend Jowy as they end up on opposing sides of a brutal conflict. The game builds on its predecessor’s turn-based combat, large-scale battles, and the “108 Stars of Destiny” recruitment system. Praised for its emotional storytelling and deep political narrative, Suikoden II initially had a modest release but later gained cult status as one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
