A little about this game its story about Hero or you can say our main character here real name is Riou (from novel japan) ,Sister Nanami (Hero Sister) , And Bestfriend Jowy.
Adventure where is main story is take place at around City State and Country Highland, basicly our hero from Town name Kyaro town there where he grew up with sister and bestfriend Jowy also trained by Granpa Genkaku later on we will know about it also get betrayed by Highland army basicly you will know in the beginning of the game where Highland try to trick Youth Brigade Army to get reason for attack City State (breaking peace treaty) .
Basicly while you are adventure most important thing about this game is recruiting the character in this game where is called 108 star destiny ,where is many character and each character has some funny story about it xD ^_^.
Depending what character you wanna recruit you have to do something first or proceed story while playing also there is character that get automaticly recruit.
Also remember you character actually can die from war keep in mind so if your character die just reload the game because later on its required to Unlock Full Power of your Rune , (also why you let that happen -_- C'mon)
Many thing you can do in this game like Fishing,Exploring,Recruiting,War,Leveling or Finding Miscellaneous item that there is great item that you can find.
And its actually story after the game Suikoden I its different story but dont worry you can actually straight play Suikoden II there is some connection about Suikoden I and II which it the Transfer data from Suikoden I that you can load if you play new game at Suikoden II it will effect most of it some character from Suikoden I that you will meet again in Suikoden II it will effect like Weapon level,Character level also some equip Rune that you equip from Suikoden I to Suikoden II for example , I equip Character from Suikoden I name is Clive with Killer Rune its actually transfer to Suikoden II .
Its either you play with guide or not this game is fun to play while you discover what you can do in the game xD for my case i first time play this game without guide then i discover some of it xD ^_^ , also i recommend you to play both game Suikoden I and II.
There is also useful minigame for playthrough the name is Rope Climb there is many various item you can get also can get a lot of money in the game by selling item Ninja Suit for 44.000 Potch its actually a lot of money for early game after you get Castle xD.
My favorite about this game is Cooking , Rope Climb , Story of course , interaction for each character and story about char , Richmond Investigation also the music xD
Also i will use stone stat trick in this game to gaining ridicilous amount of stats xD perfectly balanced game.
