Suikoden III 「幻想水滸伝III」 is a Japanese RPG developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami for the Sony PlayStation 2 in 2002 in NTSC territories only. Using the capabilities of the Sony PlayStation 2, Suikoden III marks the series jump into 3D, with mixed results.

We take on the role of three unique protagonists by use of the Trinity Site System, which allows us to experience different viewpoints in the war of the Grasslands in the form of chapters. Our three protagonists are: Geddoe, a mercenary member of Harmonia's Special Defence Force. He enters the Grasslands with his party upon rumor of the return of the Firebringer -- a group of individuals who once stopped Harmonian invasion with the use of the True Fire Rune. Chris is the Knight Captain of the Zexen Knights. Her status as a Knight and as a woman often puts her in conflict with both the Zexen Council and other members of the knights, and the death of her father weighs heavily upon her heart. Finally, Hugo is the son of the Karaya Clan Chief, who is sent on a mission to deliver a truce agreement to the Zexen Council. He gets caught up in a scheme that results in tragedy, and steels his soul.
