37Tales of Eternia 「テイルズ オブ エターニア」is an action JRPG developed by Wolf Team and published by Namco for the Sony PlayStation between 2000 and 2001 in Japan and North America. It was later ported to the Sony PlayStation Portable in 2005 and released across all territories by 2006.
This tale tells us a story of two worlds that are locked together by a ring that is named after a deity. Whilst communication and travel between the two worlds is unheard of, the world we first come to know, Inferia, labels the other world, Celestia as savages.
We take on the role of Reid Herschel, a reluctant hero who resides in the village of Rasheans. When one day a Celestian crashes into the forest near his village, he investigates with friend, Farah Oersted, to find a girl who speaks a foreign language. Taking the girl under their wing, they are eventually cast out of their village due to ill omens that come their way.
Taking place across the worlds of Inferia and Celestia, and between to the Orbus Barrier, Tales of Eternia promises a memorable adventure.
