What's up Brohams, this is Colonel Twerkins, and I'm giving you a first look at Sumoman from Tequilabyte Studios! Leggo!
Sumoman — is horizontal arcade game based on Unigine. Lots of physical puzzles, destructive objects, and a time rewind feature, much like braid, will be in this game. Sumoman is planned to release on different platforms: Win, Mac, iOS and Android, and is already Greenlit on Steam. In this game, you play Sumoman, a mighty sumo wrestler as he travels a mysterious, magical dream island. He is the only one capable of resisting the charms of the evil sorcerer, and wake the princess from his powerful spells. This is the first major release from Tequilabyte, developed by a two man team, who happen to be brothers. Stanislav Zagniy is Lead Designer, and Art Director, while his brother, Alexey is Lead Programmer. Additional help comes from Alexey Egorov on programming, and Andrey Kubyshkin on animations. Tequila has really shown how much quality, and immersiveness means to them in regards to sound design. Creating this sonic immersion was the brilliant work of Russian sound designers GaminGearz. Currently I am playing a Demo that Stanislav has so graciously provided for me. So far, it's really beautiful and fun. Very easy controls, though a little tweaking to balancing your character would be nice. Sometimes the physics goes overboard a little, but this is a demo, and it has not been optimized either. The full release version will have full controller support, so Steam Controller owners, take note. I am actually playing it with a Steam Controller myself. There are some pauses glitches which, again, come from pre-optimization, and the fact that you are basically playing it in the uningine player, which uses a lot resources. Overall, I am looking forward to playing the full release, and I will bring you that when I have it. Tequilabyte may well be a force to be reckoned with in the gaming world. With only a two man team, it's exciting to think of what they will do with a big team.
