Review First impressions and guide.
Thanks to capcom I got early access yesterday and that has given me the chance to advance enough to be able to write this quick start guide.

I will not spoiler anything about the plot and fights beyond the starter crab because it is necessary to explain my first weapon pick.

I’m playing on PC using a character with HR 40 so I haven’t grinded much and I’m using some easy to get equipment.

I already did a video about the set I was using at master rank and after trying it, I feel validated as being a good pick.

I’m using this set with kushala pieces, basarios helm and bagel legs.

The main feature of this set is that sports the higher defense you can get and regeneration it is a set meant to be ready against the unknown

Thanks to defense boost this will have similar defense to any fully upgraded early master rank set.

About weapons, for the early game, I recommend having ready three weapons: Howlitzer, Cornpopper and Behemoth Gunlance (of the bones series, nothing to do with the monster) in addition with the endgame weapon you feel comfortable with.

For the very first fight of Master Rank, Mister crab, I picked Cornpopper just because one reason: Aquatic exploit.

Exploit skills boost shell damage too and this is one important thing you have to keep in mind for the whole master rank.

Crabby is an easy monster with this set, nowhere close to fighting narwa by example.

With this, the game gives you access to master rank!

There are a lot of new things to try and explore, I will guide you to the most important ones to focus on.

First of all, time to get our first level 6 gunlance!
