This looks like complete chaos, but it's a very methodical fight. Ammo management is crucial. Take the outer cell pack on the right side first, then move to the cell pack on the left side. Stall the Megasphere as long as possible (until either health or ammo is low). Then move around the Revenants and push through to get the remaining cell packs. And never stop firing.
You will take a lot of damage, but this method is fairly consistent.

Like most players, I've had some trouble with this fight. I've watched several other playthroughs for help, but didn't like any of their strategies. They look random and inconsistent. That seems to be the nature of this fight.
The first phase is the biggest problem. I've found that if you retreat into this particular corner on the right wall, it works out much better than hiding in the ammo cave on the left side. I've had a very high survival rate in practice and often didn't even take damage during the first phase (also tried it in PrBoom+). And this playthrough was the first attempt that got past the Cyberdemons.
1) Spam BFG balls into the ammo cave, preferably the back wall. The delayed tracers help greatly when multiple AVs come around the corner. Then you can shoot another BFG ball directly at them and hit them with double tracers.
2) Frequently peek around the corner (and shoot) so that some AVs will attack you and stand still, which makes it less likely to get overwhelmed.
3) Never let go off the left mouse button. 600 cells should be enough to clear the first phase. The second phase is easier when hiding in the ammo cave, because the AVs have a hard time finding their way around the corner.
