Super 154 in 1: (Part 3): Should I skip the games that are common on multicarts? Nah.
Hello, this is Unlicensed/Pirate Multicart/Hack Man. Here's Part 3 of the Super 154 in 1. I hope you enjoy.
15. Mega Man 5 - It's the somewhat decent but bland Mega Man game. Yes, this game is DECENT (like Mega Man 1 on the NES), but unlike Mega Man 1 on the NES (it which it was hard as hell), Mega Man 5's TOO EASY! Seriously, the 1UP drops seem to be absurdly high for Mega Man 5, because I USUALLY have max lives by the time I get to Protoman's Fortress! (Since Mega Man 4 debuted on the NES, there are 2 fortress to clear, instead of the one that was in Mega Man 1, 2 and 3). Also, the M-Tank debuted in Mega Man 5 (NES) and was never seen again until Mega Man 9 and 10 on the Wii's Virtual Console (though Mega Man for the Game Gear ALSO had the M-Tank as well, though that game is even more bland than this one). The M-Tank refills EVERY special weapon AND your life meter in one go, but you can only have one M-Tank at a time (unless you already have full life and/or full special weapons, then the M-Tank turns enemies into 1UPs)! Another reason why I think this game is decent but bland is because of the mediocre-as-hell special weapons (of which I only use ONE special weapon throughout the game). Also, Rush Coil somehow became kinda mediocre as well (sometimes I activate it JUST by being near it).
16. Mega Man 6 - Jesus, ANOTHER decent but bland Mega Man game? It may be good/decent, but it doesn't have that much to offer over it's 5 other prequels. The things it does have are: Nor, Pow and Jet. Nor is Normal Mega Man, Pow is Power Mega Man (Power Mega Man can break blocks that Normal Mega Man couldn't) and Jet is Jet Mega Man (Jet Mega Man allows Mega Man to hover for a brief period of time). Another item introduced in this game is the Energy Balancer (the Energy Balancer allows Mega Man to balance his special weapon meters by giving the weapon capsule to the special weapon with the lowest weapon energy in Mega Man's weapon slot.
The special weapons are not much better than Mega Man 5's, either.
17. Rockboard: That's Paradise! - Wait, a BOARD game, on the NES, let alone a Mega Man board game? YES!!!!!!!! YYYYEEESSSSS!!!!!
Ahem.....sorry about that. This game is a Mega Man BOARD game (translated in English), which is ACTUALLY kinda like Monopoly (if you've ever played Monopoly). You have to buy and bankrupt your opponents in Bankrupt Mode and in Battle Royale mode you have to get to a certain goal to win the board. The characters in Rockboard: That's Paradise are Dr. Wily, Dr. Cossack, Kalinka, Dr. Light and Roll. Surprisingly, Mega Man isn't playable in this game, but he is the narrator of this game. (I do like the quotes that the characters say when they buy lots, lose a turn, et cetera). There are 4 boards. I set all 4 characters to Computer Players for this part.
18. Ninja Gaiden 1 - I'm pretty positive you know what this is. No introduction is needed here.
19. Ninja Gaiden 2 - Like the first game, this plays about the same as Ninja Gaiden 1, so no introduction is needed.
20. Ninja Gaiden 3 - The 3rd Ninja Gaiden (on the NES) feels a bit floaty (control wise) compared to Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, but otherwise it plays very similarly to Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2.
21. Kirby's Adventure - Again, this game should be well known enough by now. However, I'll introduce you to this game. This is Kirby's Adventure, which is the second Kirby game, in the Kirby franchise. This game has B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L graphics, to the point where you might mistake Kirby's Adventure to be on the SNES at first glance (who said NES graphics couldn't be done well detailed and beautiful)? The gameplay is like a "Reverse Mega Man", in that, you copy the enemy's power (assuming said enemy has a power) and use said power on the other enemies. (I bet that the Sega Master System library doesn't have anything like that, now does it)? (I might be lying here). (I'm not saying that the Sega Master System isn't good (by which I mean that the Sega Master System is awesome (and a bit underrated)), but the Sega Master System doesn't have Kirby or Mega Man or Mario or even Tecmo Super Bowl). (The first 3 I can understand, but Tecmo Super Bowl)? Now, Kirby's Adventure isn't my favorite in the Kirby franchise, but it's good enough for playing it on the NES.
