Super 154 in 1: (Part 2): Final Fantasy 1-3 (NES)? That's sweet to have on this multicart!
Hello, this is Unlicensed/Pirate Multicart/Hack Man and welcome to Part 2 of me playing/overviewing the Super 154-in-1 multicart.
I hope you enjoy.
8. Final Fantasy - This is THE RPG to have (assuming you're familiar with it, or unless you have Final Fantasy 3 on NES). Now, I'm not familiar enough to actually give this game a fair share, but suffice to say, it looks fun. Just beware of the OBVIOUS grinding that you have to do to complete this game (like most RPGs).
(Oh yeah, this, Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Zelda 1, Zelda 2 and I think some other RPGs that have battery saving ACTUALLY save to this multicart)! (However, if you attempt to save another game onto this multicart, it erases said game's saves instead). (Also, don't turn the power off without holding in the reset button first (which is OBVIOUS)). (Otherwise, your saved game MIGHT get erased by mistake).
9. Final Fantasy 2 - This is translated to English by some person (who I have NO idea what his name is), so I (and you, if you can read the text) can actually understand what's going on here. As for Final Fantasy 2 - it's the same as Final Fantasy 1 (though perhaps maybe a tiny bit different than Final Fantasy 1).
10. Final Fantasy 3 - This is also translated to English. (Also, the developers who made this multi-cart actually bothered putting in translations of games that were OBVIOUSLY not released in the NTSC region (United States, Canada), so I thank them for that). As for this game, it plays like Final Fantasy 1 and 2, though I think your party characters can actually select which enemy you want to attack this time, so it might be slightly better than Final Fantasy 1 and 2. Still, All 3 Final Fantasy games on this multi-cart? That's real sweet right there, because I can play ALL 3 Final Fantasy games, plus Final Fantasy 2 AND 3 are fully translated, too, so that's double sweet right there. If I were to sit down and complete the Final Fantasy games on the NES, Final Fantasy 3 would be the first that I would do so.
11. Mega Man - I've seen this on the Pocket Games 150 in 1 (although it was the Japanese version of Mega Man) and on the 143 in 1 (the English version). This (out of all 6 of the Mega Man games on the NES) is probably the worst one on the NES, because of the controls being slightly slippery (although Capcom did fix this in the next two sequels), the invincibility "spike death" (meaning if you fall into spikes and are flashing/invulnerable, you're GONE no matter what), falling THROUGH the freaking shooting platforms (you know, the ones in Ice Man's stage) and a lack of E-tanks. This game is DECENT, just not that great.
12. Mega Man 2 - Oooh boy.....here comes everybody's favorite Mega Man game on the NES. However, I think it's a bit overrated, to be honest, I think the level design is a bit messed up (on one occasion, you have to take FORCED DAMAGE through a super-narrow hallway, of which you have ZERO chance of dodging ANY bullets (unless you spam the "pass through bullets" glitch) and also the freaking Buebeam Trap boss in Wily Stage 4 needs to go kill itself, because, unless you spam the "pass through bullets" glitch like hell, there's NO WAY you can avoid the bullets and if you DO actually die and don't have enough Crash Bombs, guess what? You have to ACTUALLY FARM FOR IT! THAT'S NOT GOOD LEVEL/GAME DESIGN AT ALL!!!! I HATE WILY STAGE 4 FOR THOSE REASONS!!! Fortunately, the improvements of having E-tanks and the controls actually do help in that stupid fight against the Buebeam Trap).
13. Mega Man 3 - The controls are improved even further than the first two prequels (to the point I actually would consider them perfect). He (Mega Man) has a slide ability, too.
14. Mega Man 4 - Now, THIS is my favorite of the Mega Man games on the NES (because of the fact that every weapon in Mega Man 4 is at least useful, unlike Mega Man 5's mediocre-as-hell weapons and you charge your shot in this one (and it doesn't go away when you get hit))! Mega Man 4, for some reason, gets a bit of hate, for no real reason or really stupid reasons I don't WANT to hear. Eddie (or Fliptop, as he's called in Japan, is introduced here. He (Eddie) gives you an item at random.
