Here's probably the best way to level up Uruk captains in Shadow of War. Although it doesn't beat out simply purchasing your way to the top in terms of speed (very expensive), it is more fun and the captain can gain traits without any cost too. Captains gain a super large amount of levels if they face against a much higher leveled Uruk.

Meet Dûgz the Steady, a cursed machine marksman, he's only a 28 lightweight and he's taking on the heavy weight, Narûg the Unkillable, who is a DARK TANK.
