With the release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Switch, I decided that I wanted to redo my No Powerups challenge run of the game. Now, I'm finally doing that. However, as should be noted, I will be handling this series a bit differently from the original.
For one, I'm playing the Switch version of the game, which is much faster and has improved gameplay, as well as an entirely new mid-air dive that wasn't present in the Wii U version.
Second, I'll be aiming for as close to completion as possible. The series will be divided into two halves:
-The first will focus solely on me alone trying to get through every level, and get every collectible while playing as Mario.
-The second will focus on the multiplayer aspect and see how much more of the game is possible with other characters or with an extra player.

For this first half of the series, the rules are as follows:
-I must play as Mario at all times.
-I cannot collect any powerups, like a Fire Flower.
-I can keep the Super state granted upon respawning in a level, but I am not allowed to use Super Mushrooms to regain this state if I should take damage.
-Checkpoint flags are allowed, regardless of Mario's current state.
-Riding Plessie is allowed.
-Using equippable items, such as the Propeller Box or hiding inside of a Koopa Shell, is not allowed.
-Using throwable items, such as a baseball or Koopa Shell, is allowed.

It seems like a lot, but it's honestly pretty easy to remember once you get the hang of it.
