It is time for the desert level, which is no surprise that in a lot of games, World 2 is a desert level, since this is the case in a lot of Mario games. The first few levels for this video have some interesting things, the first level is full of giant long-necked birds called Conkdors.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I feel like it is tradition that in many Mario games, the second world in the game would be a desert, and it's not just Mario games, the Kirby series has had a desert for a second world in some games.
At the end of the last part, I did get a Stamp from a Sprixie House in World 2, and now it is time to check out some of the levels. First up is Conkdor Canyon, which as the name states, is full of these long-necked birds called Conkdors, which are protected by their spiny shell, and if they slam their beak down, they will be left wide open, allowing you to easily take them out. One Conkdor is required for a Green Star, and you will need to collect Green Stars to access levels, like the Boss Castle, you needed 10 Green Stars, and while some are very easy to find, some are very well hidden, so if you aren't aiming for 100%, you can go for the Green Stars that are easy to find.
Next is Puffprod Peaks, the most frequent enemies being Piranha Plants and Galoombas, as well as the Coin Coffer, where they give a lot of coins if you can defeat one. The mechanic for this level is the Touchstones, where if you tap on them on the Wii U Gamepad, they will move to a set position until you tap them again. Propeller Platforms move when you blow into the Wii U Gamepad. The music for this level reminds of Cosmic Cove Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2, it had nice music in that game as well.
Then we get Shadow-Play Alley, where it takes place in an underground area with a lot of shadows, like the Green Stars and the enemies. There is one section where it is inside the shadows and it is full of Piranha Plants and Fuzzies, and at the end of the level, there is a wooden cutout of Bowser where if you knock it over, Captain Toad will give you a Green Star. You can pick up a Potted Piranha Plant and it will eat enemies, and they can also grab Green Stars as well.
Then we get Really Rolling Hills, and this is the first level that has a Character Switch, and in this case, only Mario can activate it to get a Stamp, if anyone other than Mario steps on the switch, it will not activate. I do like the Color Panels (I don't know if it is localized as "Colour Panels" in Europe) for the second Green Star of this level, and you can use the ball to change the colour on them. We encounter a new enemy called a Skipsqueak, these mouse-like enemies, as well as Galoombas and a few others.
