Super Mario 3D World True 100% trick: 4 Characters cleared after 1 visit.
This trick is pretty obvious for those who casually played through the game in Co-op mode. But for those who love to speed run.
You get a special stamp if you complete all of the stages for EACH character. Basically, for solo true 100%, you would have to play through every single stage 5 times (Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach and Rosalina), however you can cut down that time significantly by abusing Co-op, 1 human, 4 characters style.
For stages that contains flag poles, the game officially adds an icon for each character touching the goal pole. Any characters inside the bubble, failing to touch the pole will not count towards it. Since the game has 5 characters but you can only play through 4 out the 5 at once, it also means that you can clear all of the stages at least twice, instead of five times. Cutting down the true 100% by at least 3-5 hours!
For stages that contains Green Stars as a way to finish the stage. This is much easier as you can keep the other 3 players inside the bubble at all times just before the celebration sequence. Right before/after touching the green star, make sure you:
1) Pause the game,
2) Get your fingers ready on the other 3 character's jump button (to get them out of the bubble after unpausing)
3) Unpause the game and then press the jump button on those 3 characters (inside the bubble).
Clip 1 shows a 1 player, 4 controller setup of how you can do the trick.
Clip 2 shows what happens if one of the characters fails to touch the flagpole, hence not registering that character as 'clearing the stage'.
Clip 3 shows what you can do on stages that requires just picking up the green star (enemy blockades or Mystery House sequences).
