With Super Mario 3D All-Stars officially releasing in Japan, I have decided to redo my 100% walkthrough for Super Mario 64 and Sunshine, seeing that both games have been upgraded considerably in terms of resolution.

Nintendo used the Shindou Version of the Super Mario 64 for this release, which only released in Japan. This added rumble to the game, but also patched many glitches (most notably the Backwards Long Jump and Mario’s voice line when throwing Bowser far away). This game’s walkthrough will be six parts, going over three or so courses per video.

In this part, I clear out most of the main floor’s stars. Overall, not too bad for the introductory levels, though you can’t get the final star in Jolly Roger Bay until you unlock the Metal Cap, which will be done in the next part. Due to how many stars I obtain, I made sure to give a timestamp for each area and timestamps for each star will be posted as a pinned comment.
