Pokémon Sword Playthrough – Part 15
Here's the penultimate video for this playthrough, and it's the longest part as well. We try to look for Leon, but Rose’s assistant, Oleana, tries to stop us. After finally taking down the grunt with the key to Rose’s building (9:54), we have to take down more Macro Cosmos grunts before finally reaching the top, where we battle Oleana (25:44). After defeating her, we finally encounter Rose (33:49), who Leon seems to have a disagreement with over something. Nonetheless, we head back to the hotel and rest up for the next day, which is when the Finals take place. You can say that this is basically the replacement for the Elite Four, as Bede interrupts the championship to challenge you one last time before you have to face Nessa, Bea, and Raihan. Overall, these battles were pretty easy, even vs. Nessa, since her Drednaw wasn’t as much of a threat anymore.
As I get ready to face Leon (1:24:15), Chairman Rose interrupts the match, causing chaos around the area. Because of what is going on, we head back to the Slumbering Weald, where we encounter both legendary Pokémon (1:30:51), then visit the altar (1:33:17), where your character gets the Rusted Sword and Hop gets the Rusted Shield. With these in hand, we head back to Hammerlocke, where the action is taking place at the Stadium. I head down to the Energy Plant, where Chairman Rose is waiting for us. The battle with him (1:38:15) is pretty easy since, like his underlings, he sticks to steel types, which is easy for Cinderace to take on. After the battle, we head to the roof, where Leon tries to take on Eternatus (1:45:33), which seems to be behind all the Power Spots in the Galar region. He fails to catch it, so we have to battle it (1:46:48). However, that isn’t enough as it gigantamaxes. Even with Hop’s help, we can’t even attack it, so the both of them use the Rusted weapons to call the legendary Pokémon, Zamazenta and Zacian. (1:52:22). With their help, we are finally able to deal damage to Eternatus, and end up catching it (2:01:49).
With the Galar region saved, the Championship battle can finally continue (2:08:19), and it’s a pretty tough battle since the opponent’s Pokémon receive a massive boost. At least the music is pretty great, with it being a remix of the Hall of Fame music. Nonetheless, with the help of items, Stealth Rock, and a sandstorm overtaking the heavy sunlight, I barely manage to take out the Gigantamax Charizard with Boltund to win the match. The ending (2:24:33) plays along with the credits, then you see the title screen change, showing you and your party. Upon entering the game, you are shown the altar at Slumbering Weald, which will start the postgame story, then I get a Master Ball from Professor Magnolia, and save outside the house.
