7And now I've reached the task that puts the "Hazy" in "Hazy Mave Cave.
In a deep and distant area from your starting point, there lies a maze that is wafted by toxic fumes...
These stinky-looking fumes will drain Mario's health the longer he stays in them, and there are some holes in the ground here that are meant to drag him even deeper into the poisonous gas for more lung damage.
This isn't like drowning underwater. The fumes will eventually make Mario suffocate to death, and he can't just "heal" by jumping out of it. At the very least, Metal Mario doesn't need to breathe through this, either. So that can be of some help.
The Power Star of this task lies past the door you can find at 2:22. Follow that path, and then take an elevator upward. It will bring you right to the Power Star this toxic task meant for you to reach.
