You cannot progress through Mole Mines until you jump on a trampoline in an early room and knock yourself out, thus allowing Croco and his band of Crooks to steal your coins. You may choose to fight the Crooks by attacking them in their hiding places, recieving Flower Tabs for doing so, but in order to recover your coins and gain a bomb to progress, you must fight Croco.

As the fight progresses he will steal all your items, then begin using the attack Monster Toss.
