Super Metroid Redesign (ROMhack) - Tourian and Escape Sequence
The final trial of this classic hack. I've beaten this game 4 times and the escape is the hardest part of the game. It goes completely balls to the wall and throws the most dangerous stuff at you while completely suitless. In this state Samus takes much more damage from things like Mother Brain, acid and Metroids. The Metroids in this game are also ridiculously fast.
During the escape you get one missile pack with 10 missiles to open two red doors and you must not waste a single one, otherwise you'll be doomed as you won't find any other missiles during the escape. It also forces you to climb a massive vertical shaft with tiny tic-tac sized platforms, and to walk through a bunch of water afterwards.
However the worst part is when you approach the surface of Crateria, the acid here rises extremely fast and you must race ahead of it across several rooms. The last underground room forces you to wall-jump ahead of the fast-rising acid and if you screw up and fall into it there is no way out. And the gravity in this game is much heavier which makes wall jumping require much tighter timing. After that it's just a matter of getting to the ship in time and you usually have plenty of time as long as you don't constantly fall into the water below.
