I used a winch to drag a solar array back to my home base and used a string of rovers to connect its power supply to the batteries stored within the walls. The walls are high enough to protect you from debris but there is no roof because it's too dark that way. No lights have been added to the game that players can make. There is also a beacon at the top of a pillar to make the base easier to spot at a distance.
