Welcome to the 15 Minute Melee project. Here, I will make videos of doing 15 Minute Melee with various characters under certain conditions. Yep, an accomplishment that you certainly couldn't expect from people like the Hyphy Movement, the Uni-Mind including trolls, the San Francisco Bay Area residents who prove that it doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", the shallow girls who would say "wanna suck my pee" just to mock me, and the Oakland rioters. The purpose of this project is to help players learn skills that could help in dealing with Meta Knight in Brawl, who abuses the Glass Cannon metagames that have dubious at best standards.

Now the conditions are no Screw Attack abuse, B button usage is limited purely to recovery, no (intentional) airdodging or glitch abuse, and getting as many KOs as feasible.

Anybody who wishes to contribute may vote for which 3 characters they'd want me to do next. Please keep in mind that I will not prioritize purely on vote count whatsoever, but don't be afraid to vote for your favorite character(s). Also, any characters I have recorded for (and will not redo, because I'll redo everybody else I already have besides Mewtwo) will not be counted, but you may revote for other characters. Lastly, if you vote for Zelda, it will be considered a vote for Shiek, whose KO potential I consider lower.

Link's stats:
*Classification: Squishy Wizard + Mighty Glacier
*Specialty: overwhelm tactics
*Smash bonus: multi-hit and magic number reach
*Notes: side attacks are less powerful than up and down attacks, staling vulnerability

I have to say that Link is awesome, to the point where he deserves more credit than given. Of course, he's broken in 15MM, considering I'm even using him as a Melee Tornado in this video in the first place, but he's not effortless at it, unlike another swordsman *coughmarthhackwheeze*. And last night, I also used him in Brawl matches on stream, with nice results not even limited to a 4 stocking on Meta Knight. (MOVE IMBALANCE THERE!) Who says Spin Strike sucks, or even says he sucks? And he certainly takes the idea that 15MM and Meta Knight fall to wise play of the given character to prolong survival, and runs with it.

The main thing to note is that Link has to worry about stale moves--yes, staling is just as around in Melee as it is in Brawl, with Link having blatant problems with it, no problem with me I can tell you that much. Even Up Tilt has to worry about staling. The obvious solution where Link uses multiple moves to keep the reliable ones fresh isn't entirely safe either, but it is nevertheless done to manage KOs.

As to the moves, don't expect results form side attacks, because out of all of them, only the Forward Smash KOs (aside from the throws' deadweight hits). The smashes are not entirely reliable for fast KOs either, but they do provide multiple strikes and especially magic number reach compared to the tilts, so none of them are useless whatsoever. Of course, the most reliable move Link has is the Up Tilt, because that monster of a move is ridiculously safe aside from explosives and KOs unconditionally. But don't forget: if you spam it, the KO speed will drop, so if you want KOs, you're going to have to use other moves. Link's up and down attacks are all good, though, as long as you don't spam any given one.

B moves: all of Link's B moves except Bow & Arrows (Neutral B) KO without too much trouble, though the B&A can be used to disarm explosive containers with a good shot. Spin Strike (Up B) is notable because can be used to get rid of clumps around Link fast, and also used after either strike of the Forward Smash to nail nearby Wireframes if one rolls right behind Link too. Boomerang (Side B) provides a free KO on whatever it hits if it's not returning so use against lone targets. Bombs (Down B) can KO multiple wireframes at once, though it's not entirely reliable. But yeah, all B moves give Link side attacks. So much Fridge Brilliance with Link, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more too that I'm still not aware of.

-Mario - 666 (!!!)
-Link - 763
-Mewtwo - 695
-Roy - 691
Total of done characters: 2865
