Super Squidlit is a sidescrolling Platformer and is the successor of Squidlit, which i also played on this channel. Now Super Squidlit is not made like a Gameboy game, but now instead is made like a Gameboy Color Game. They even write on the Steamstorepage, that they are true to the resolution and the color limit.
As Plip the squid, you can move around like in any other platformer, hitting the jumpbutton again midair, causes Plip to shoot out ink towards the ground. So instead of defeating enemies by jumping on their heads, you ink them instead. Another move you can do is a forward roll, that also works in midair. If you hit a wall with it, you bounce up a little and can do the roll again. This way you can "climb" up walls.

So when i said, that Super Squidlit is a platformer, i lied... well kind of.
In some parts of the game, you play as Skwit Skwot, the Boss of the last game. And this portion plays like a Retro First Person Shooter. These section are also going for some time until you finish them.
You can move forward and backward, turn left and turn right. If you press and hold the B Button (which is the A Button on my Controller), you can Strafe left and right, instead of turning. You can also use this button to lock on enemies and you automatically turn and strafe around the enemy.
Later i found out, that you can change the controls, so that one analogue stick moves and strafes and the other analogue stick turns left and right. The Shoulderbuttons are now your attack and weapon switch button.

Skwit Skwot also gains XP from defeating enemies and you can use that earned skill point to increase your attack power of the different weapons or your Health/Mana Pool or regenation for them.

Honestly, when i looked on the Steamstore page, i was a bit surprised, that it only had 11 Ratings. Seems like this game is completely unknown to the most people.
