Into the Pit is a Retrolook First Person Shooter with Roguelike elements in a dark fantasy setting. The premise of the game is, that you use a Keystone to open a set of levels and you want to reach the dungeon heart, which is basically a boss that you need to defeat. If you manage to defeat the boss, the town npc "Keymaker" will be enabled, When you buy the keystones he offers, you can use two keystones and they act as a level modifyer. Which changes the layout, the traps and enemies you see within these levels. But you might need a few tries to get there, since the boss is pretty difficult to defeat.

But i get a bit ahead. When you enter the pit (dungeon), you have 4 sections with 2 gates to go through, when you pick one of these gates, the other one will close. The name of the game already tells what you can get there. This might be to collect runes, maybe rescue a villager, finding an healing fountain and more. If you finish these small levels, you can pick a modifyer rune that enhances your powers. This is set for the left hand, the right hand and for your body (defense, overall modifyers). If you don't like the choices, you can spend green runes, to reroll these and maybe get something better.
The more luck runes you have, the higher is the chance that you get a more powerful modifyer to pick.

Honestly, i wished that the game would've some sort of voices. Maybe not for every text, but atleast for the intro and for some sound effects, but aside that the sound effects are good.
