Super Street Fighter 2 turbo a new legacy Ambiguous ryu hk vs mk cross up example note
#superturbo #sf2 #newlegacy
Sorry video got fucked up recording.. But anyway..
So I recently tried out this new Super Turbo Legacy thing that a dude named Born2SPD apparently made.. so not a full video but I might make some quirks for it. Since I told him about this right now and he asked to make a video here it is..
So apparently from what I understand when he made this, one of the changes was to make it so ryu can cross up balrog and DJ easier beecause of their quirky blocks. So now forward crosses up(or well it could before as well actually just less so than hk). However instead of changing the hit boxes apparently from what I understand the push boxes were changed. This leads to basically a guessing game of, if you press roundhouse you stand in front.. if you press forward you cross up.
Which in a way, I think is pretty fun, and its pretty volatile in its own way.. And I guess that is ST from a certain perspective but at the same time.. Literally.. its a guessing game. Also from a certain perspective I think its fun that characters like DJ and balrog have quirky blocks cuz it makes the game interesting in a way...
Anywho im iffy on this change but since I was asked to make a video here it is since apparently from the conversation this was not intentional.
Also curiously enough dunno how it was fiddled with but when going for simple stuff vs cross ups like DP/Hurricane kick as reversal and it will default to hurricane kick if you are crossed up now it always seems to default to DP.. which of course could be because as well since push boxes were effected and not hurt/hit boxes per say...
Also curiously ive been able to get hurricane kicks to go the wrong way multiple times.. dunno what that one is about.. abug maybe?
