Original Text: Alright, let's stay on animation for a moment. Today's #SupermanAnalogue is going to be brief but important. Today we're talking about Mighty Mouse!
Sadly, it's going to be brief because I can't remember that many specifics about the character. However, #MightyMouse could be the reason that I've spent the last month rambling about different Superman knock offs. See, when I was VERY little, this was my favorite cartoon.
And, like I said, I don't remember much. It stopped being syndicated near me when I was still in preschool so it kind of just lost its place of honor by default. I remember there was something of a space theme and that he had the stock superpowers, but that's about it.
And OBVIOUSLY I remember the theme song. I probably use that tune every other day (though just as much because of the Jim Carrey reference in Liar Liar).
But, yeah... I can't really go into many specifics beyond that the character exists and that it has a place in both pop culture and my heart. And if you don't believe me, check out one of my first cosplays!
Semi-related, but I doubt I can ever cover the Supreme variants from Alan Moore's run since most are one off jokes. I'm mostly talking about the various inhabitants of the Supremacy. But there was a Mighty Mouse reference and he was awesome!
And of course he had a cameo in the "Where's Waldo for Superheroes" that was Moore's #TopTen. (First person to spot him gets to suggest a character)
