From India we have Kubuntu 12.04 based distro - SuperX 1.1 Cassini. It comes with KDE Netbook interface as its default desktop environment, and theres also some nice artwork and colourful icons included.
The interface is different from the standard KDE desktop, you don't get a "Start Menu", instead you open applications via icon driven menus, or you can find a program via application searcher (similar to Unity launcher).

The SuperX team have included some Compiz type effects on application opening and closing, as well as Expo and Desktop Cube effects.
